Happy Anniversary, Ed!

Somehow, unexpectedly, you were by my side. My heart pounded in anticipation even though fear raced through my veins.

You are, and always will be, the only man in my heart. You are, and always have been, the most amazing man I’ve ever met.

Only God could have made you. So perfect. So fun. So crazy. I’m not sure how I caught your eye. Possibly because I’m beautiful. You told me that so I believe it’s true.

This isn’t just an anniversary, Ed. This is a stunning realization that, while we were walking along, Heaven grew up around us.

Paddle boarding in Maui. You didn’t push me in the water because you are a gentleman.

Hitchhiking in the Bahamas. I couldn’t believe this fairytale was my life.

Adventures in DC. When you created educational adventures for our son I was learning, too.

You built me a chicken coop. And now we don’t eat eggs. I fed you a lot of eggs. Sorry.

We’ve changed our physical place, our spiritual place and our financial location, but the center of my heart will always be you.

How are you so brilliant? I love listening to your ideas. Somehow our future is more exciting, which is remarkable because our present improves every single day.

Speaking of the present, this is your anniversary present.
You have my full attention, and I will do anything for you.

You can push me off my paddle board into the water now.
I’m not afraid of anything anymore.

Happy 1827 day anniversary!
